Architecture

Changing the landscape with a degree in architecture requires a high level of creativity, technical ability, resourcefulness and an understanding of physics.

Architecture courses are incredibly competitive, with science and maths being an advantage, alongside artistic ability. A strong academic background is required; however, some universities consider the interview and portfolio just as important.

Plenty of patience and stamina is needed, as it can take up to seven years to become fully qualified. Graduates will find wages and opportunities excellent with a degree in architecture. Visual awareness, technical and building knowledge are valuable skills for creative careers in art and design.
