All of the courses at London South bank are accredited or developed in conjunction with professional bodies, making them ‘vocationally relevant’ and giving you the best possible chance of a good career. What’s more, since LSBU teaching received the highest possible rating in the most recent QAA survey, you know those courses are in safe hands. Which may explain why LSBU students enjoy such a high average graduate salary of around £22,600 per year.
Based south of the river in Elephant and Castle, yet still within easy reach of all that the capital has to offer, LSBU is highly popular, especially with local students (around two thirds) and ethnic minorities (around a half). Most LSBU courses are available as part time study.
LSBU has spent around £50m in the past few years updating and improving its facilities, including a new enterprise centre to incubate student businesses, and a new £7.4m student centre. LSBU has a lively student union and great sports facilities, including an extensive free gym and fitness suite. A satellite campus at Havering in Essex is home to students studying health related courses.
London South Bank is a hub for local public transport, and is within easy reach of Central London. The South Bank itself is home to Shakespeare’s Globe, the London Eye and the Tate Modern, offering lots to see and do without even crossing the river.
LSBU has 1,400 beds in its halls, so with 25,000 students, you need to get in quick if you want a place. Rents range from £110 to £135 per week. There is also extensive private accommodation in and around the area.
All undergraduate degrees cost £9,000 per year.
